24/7/365

There was a scene in the movie Forrest Gump  where Lt Dan asks Forrest "where God was in their time of need."  Forrest replied, "it's funny he said that, because right then God showed up"
The hurricane hits and wrecks all the other boats except for theirs. They strike it big "shrimping."  Eventually, it appears Lt.Dan makes his peace with God.

Most of us aren't going to strike it rich in the shrimp business, but that's okay. God is still on our side. It's not just in our times of need that God shows up. He's not just around when things are going as well as they possibly could be. God is always there for us on good days, bad days, and in-between days, 24 hour a day. 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

We need to recognize His ever-present kindness and direction in our lives. There are times when our prayers seem to bounce off the ceiling, but that's not what's really happening. God is there!!! We can learn to see Him and trust Him to answer our prayers in His perfect way and His perfect timing.

God doesn't only come or go or show up in either good times or bad. He is there 24/7/365
